What is IBP cable?
Invasive blood pressure (IPB) cables connect mindray equipment to market-leading devices including ICU Medical Transpac-IV®, Utah/Biotrans™, Edwards Lifesciences TruWave™, and Argon™ transducers. This gives care providers a range of choices for connecting IBP transducers to Mindray patient monitors.
What is the use of IBP transducer?
It is intended for arterial and venous blood pressure monitoring, blood sampling testing, and assisting in clinical diagnosis and treatment. It can continuously monitor instantaneous hemodynamic changes and shows the pressure waveforms providing accurate information for immediate treatment.
How does a transducer measure blood pressure?
The pressure fluctuations within the ventricles are conducted through the fluid-filled catheter and tubing to the transducer. The transducer is a combination of a pressure-sensitive diaphragm and strain gauge used to convert mechanical pressure to an electrical signal by measuring changes in resistance.
