New ECG system simplifies standard 12-lead ECG

February 16, 2021 QT Medical recently announced the launch of its Xpress ECG service, the world's first 12-lead ECG home test to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 by bringing ECG tests to patients' homes. 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) with PCA 500 for use by healthcare professionals and patients.
In response to the surge in demand, the company offers its Xpress ECG service, which makes ECG testing accessible and affordable to consumers while reducing the risk of exposure to potential infections. Doctors can now simply order the Xpress ECG test online and the ECG kit will be delivered to the patient within 1-3 business days.
ECG testing is performed using the PCA 500, a complete 12-lead ECG platform that includes an ultra-compact recorder, pre-set electrode strips, mobile app, HIPAA-compliant cloud, and preliminary interpretation.

With the new CPT codes (e.g. 99457), a patient's home ECG test costs 3 times more than an ECG test done in a doctor's office. When a physician requests an Xpress ECG test, the patient will be shipped a kit including the PCA 500 recorder, electrode strips, and a postage-paid return envelope. QT Medical previously conducted a clinical trial that showed little or no training required to use the PCA 500. All ECGs are automatically transmitted to the cloud and a preliminary computer interpretation is immediately available. Through the cloud, physicians can view results from anywhere to make informed decisions.
